OK kids, I promised you pictures and here they are.Three kiln loads in 6 days. Tons of cone 6 stuff for spring fair in four weeks. The blue glaze may have deflocculated because it seemed thin and fired accordingly.I'll tinker with it and re-glaze some bowls that I was not happy with. Other than that, the green looks great and I went all out on black with red and made 4 place settings plus some service pieces. All killer but damn shiny and hard to take good shots of when you are in a hurry and using your cell phone. Thanks for stopping by.
Dennis, I love the black and red!!! It is simply elegant.
ReplyDeleteThanks Michele, I like it too.I have done a cone 10 version with copper red accents before but it has not been as dependable as I would like. It is also in a community kiln. I can do this cone 6 ox at home and so far it is 100% success.
ReplyDelete3 kiln loads of cone 6? No thanks! I would rather eat a box of nails, haha, but you did it right, very nice. I still like your blue and green better, but I'm a big fan of black and this is good stuff!
ReplyDeletePs, I still haven't seen the previous post, won't load on my iPad, must go to the laptop at some point...l
ReplyDeleteBeautiful
ReplyDeleteI think the black is very sharp. I'll be interest to hear how your customers respond to it.
