In very uncharacteristic fashion, everything in this bisque load came through intact. No blow ups, no S cracks, no warpage.I'm trying to lay in a good supply of tableware bisque so this made me very happy. Mugs are already stocked. Plates go off tonight with more jugs and crocks.I should be getting close to changing over to red clay for a few weeks. That way, I'll be ready for quick turnarounds this summer when I run low on certain colors. Beats starting from scratch when you are in a hurry. I'm also getting some show applications out and will be able to update the show schedule in the right hand column soon. Thanks for stopping.
pass the jam please! Feels so good to unload and put some pots away.
ReplyDeleteSounds like you are on the same track as Jeff and I. The last few winters we slacked off in January and February and seemed to spend the rest of the year trying to catch up. This year we have vowed to stay productive.
ReplyDeleteIt's like money in the bank and it really cuts the stress level later on.
ReplyDeleteThat pottery needs to have a word with my pottery, I wouldn't know what to do if I didn't have a few pieces kill themselves.... Good luck with the show circuit , ugh, it's here again isn't it?!
ReplyDeleteI've had enough of them commit suicide this winter. Notice I said it was uncharacteristic that they all made it. They are just setting me up for a heartbreak later on.
